Vice President Memphis World HUB
John is the Vice President of the FedEx World HUB in Memphis, Tennessee. As VP of the FedEx MEM World HUB, John oversees the activities of the Daysort Operation and also has responsibility for Long Haul Trucking Contracts and Scheduling. He formerly served as the Managing Director of the FedEx Global Operations Command and Control Center which not only serves as Mission Control but also has responsibility for catastrophic planning and execution for FedEx Express.
John started at FedEx in 1980 as an hourly employee in the MEM HUB. He attended the University of Memphis while working part time at the Nightsort operation. Once he completed school he was promoted into a front line management position and is another example of our promote from within philosophy. He also holds an MBA from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
As a longtime Memphian, he has served many organizations including Diversity Memphis, March of Dimes, Junior Achievement and he is presently a Board Member for the non-profit Memphis Athletic Ministries (MAM).
