VIDEO: Trees for Troops and FedEx Delivering Holiday Smiles

During our busiest time of the year, we’re not too busy  to show our appreciation to the military men and women who serve our country. As part of Trees for Troops, over 17,000 live trees donated by tree growers around the country through the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation are being delivered. Destinations include more than 60 military bases throughout  the U.S. and installations in Kuwait, Spain, and Bahrain.

Jason Case, a Senior Security Specialist in Columbus, Ohio is one of many FedEx employees who make this program possible by helping at distribution sites.

“I’m a veteran myself and I remember receiving packages from home when I served overseas. And I thought there’s no better way to send the troops a message. Even though you’re 6,000 miles away, it’s still a reminder of home and it makes you feel great.”, Case said.
