What Small and Medium Enterprises in France did not know about customs

hub tour 1.JPG Venturing into uncharted export markets can be a journey into the unknown for many Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). That is what relatively few actually dare to make that bold step. Customs regulations can at first seem a little daunting.

However, we are seeing a growing number of SMEs in the aeronautical, high tech and luxury industries, in particular, that are interested in exporting in order to capitalize on growth markets.

Looking to Emerging Markets for Growth

t was exciting to find out that almost 90% of the SMEs surveyed for this report are planning to do business in emerging markets in the coming year. Where? According to the study, the top-10 emerging markets are: China, Brazil, India, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Poland, Czech Republic, Morocco, Romania and Turkey.

Another interesting fact, the onset of the financial crisis has had an unexpected positive effect: far from slowing this growth process, it has actually served to accelerate it.

Students from around the U.S. and Canada are gathering in Boston this weekend for the first Junior Achievement North American Company of the Year Competition. Twenty JA student "Companies" are presenting their business enterprise before a panel of judges, vying for the highly contested title of North American Student Company of the Year.
