Cycling California for a Cause

Our FedEx team just finished a 545-mile bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. This is my sixth year of riding, and the fabulous views of the California coast and valleys seem fresh and new every year. Most important, we do it for a good cause – raising funds to combat HIV/AIDS.

FedEx Team Members Celebrate MLK Day

In Washington DC, FedEx team members are honoring one of Dr. King’s famous statements: “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘what are you doing for others?’”

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, DC-area team members are commemorating the values and principles of Dr. King by leading the meal preparation and assembly of thousands of meals to Food & Friends’ clients. FedEx and World AIDS Day

When I fired up my computer at work this morning I was proud to see at the top of our FedEx intranet home page a post about World AIDS Day and FedEx support for the Healthy Women Healthy Economies (HWHE) initiative. FedEx is a member of the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. In 2004 we received an e-newsletter from them about HWHE and its success in east Africa. We immediately reached out to the GBC and offered additional support to them to help with this initiative.
