usmexico.png This year marks the 20th anniversary of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) when Mexico joined Canada and the United States to establish the largest free trade zone in the world. Recently, I attended the 3rd meeting of the U.S – Mexico CEO Dialogue in Monterrey, Mexico jointly organized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and their counterpart Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (CCE).

Trade Promotion Authority: Essential to our customers, business and country

dc-capitol.png In the coming weeks, the U.S. Congress will have the opportunity to take a step that will significantly advance free trade and our economy –renewing Trade Promotion Authority, or TPA.

For three decades, U.S. presidents have had the authority to negotiate complex trade deals with other nations, and present the results for an up-or-down vote. Congress last passed this trade authorization in 2002 and since then, the US has added trade agreements with 16 countries.

Oklahoma tornado disaster relief - working with the best to make a difference

DirectRelief-FedEx_OK tornado response 5-22-13.jpg.jpeg Last week we all sat in disbelief as we witnessed the aftermath of the tornado in the Moore, Oklahoma area that left 24 people dead, including nine children, and displaced thousands of others.

Our hearts and prayers are with everyone touched by this tragedy, in Oklahoma and beyond.
