FedEx Trade Networks Expansion in Latin America
You can’t help but notice that FedEx Trade Networks Latin America is receiving quite a bit of attention in the news lately. To add to the news, I’m thrilled to be in São Paulo announcing our expansion efforts in Brazil and Mexico.
The Latin American and Caribbean region is one of the fastest growing economies in the world, and Brazil and Mexico are vital markets for our customers, as well as, key areas of investment for our business. As the economies of these two countries continue to grow, so has FedEx Trade Networks, including new offices, alliances and freight forwarding service options.
FedEx Trade Networks has formed a strategic alliance with Portlink Logística Multimodal, one of the largest freight forwarders in southern Brazil. Our strategic alliance with Portlink Logística Multimodal expands FedEx Trade Networks’ existing presence in Brazil with full coverage in the southern region and at main ports in Itajaí, Rio Grande and Paranaguá. I’m looking forward to our future with Portlink Logística Multimodal, because together, we will establish new business throughout Brazil and provide customers with greater access, superior value and world-class service.
Latin America and Caribbean Managing Director, John Gazitua, is in Mexico City spreading the news of our recent expansion in Mexico. FedEx Trade Networks opened two new offices in Mexico, one in Guadalajara and one in Monterrey, which join our offices in Mexico City and at the Benito Juarez International Airport (MEX). The Guadalajara and Monterrey offices support our long-term vision to offer a full suite of solutions in key markets around the world, including international air and ocean, clearance and local transportation. I’m excited that Guadalajara and Monterrey have joined our Latin America and Caribbean network. These cities are the main gateways to some of the largest high-tech and manufacturing industries in Mexico.
To further our expansion efforts, FedEx Trade Networks created a program to unite Mexico and Brazil air freight forwarding. FedEx Trade Networks now offers an air consolidation service that quickly and easily transports customers' goods from two major airports in Mexico and Brazil. The new air consolidation service combines multiple time-sensitive packages into one shipment at one reasonable price from the Benito Juárez International Airport (MEX) to São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport (GRU).
Our recent growth in Latin America solidifies our commitment to superior customer service in Brazil, Mexico and around the world. We’re committed to providing comprehensive shipping solutions in the industry. Opening two new locations in Guadalajara and Monterrey, and forming an alliance with Portlink Logística Multimodal helps us continue to deliver outstanding resources for customers. Our extensive history in international trade provides customers with greater access to freight forwarding solutions, and local businesses will receive greater support and access to market opportunities in Brazil and Mexico.
